Unenumerated benefits are benefits that are either too difficult or intangible to put into dollar values. For example, we didn’t estimate the health benefits of the restored marsh because of data limitations. Conversely, we didn’t estimate the benefits of additional educational opportunities for Mission Bay High School because there isn’t an obvious way to monetize them.

Increased public access, avoided negative health impacts, improved local climate, improved air pollution, cultural and spiritual services, educational opportunities, and protection of endangered species

It is important to recognize unenumerated benefits because they imply that the true benefits of restoring the marsh are far greater than what our estimate is. We are only considering a small subset of the benefits that would be provided by a restored wetland.
